There are so many things in life I want to share with others, but sometimes we just don't find the time to share. Just like there are so many things we want, but Money Doesn't Grow On Trees, so we can share ideas on how to create the things we want :-)

Once Again, I Forget about my Blog

I don't know why I forget about my blog. I get so caught up in "Crackbook". I realize that this is so much more personal, so I should try to keep it up.
We have been busy trying to keep up with keeping the snow shoveled, and the kids warm. It has been a very long winter.
We went to Disney the day after Christmas. It was a wonderful time. We went to the Kennedy Space Center, and stayed the night at Cocoa Beach. Then we stayed 3 nights at the Nickelodeon Hotel. The kids LOVED getting slimed. Then we were at the French Quarter of Port Orleans in Disney for 3 nights. Disney was awesome as always! We also went to my Aunt Connie's house for dinner one night..SO MUCH FUN!!!
Ok maybe I will challenge myself to write once a week this year...maybe...

LAKE DOUGLAS MEMORIAL DAY

So we have had a very busy Memorial Day weekend at the lake. Everyone had a Great time and we had beautiful weather. We got to move to a new camp spot this year, and we are right on the water... It is so great... Keith rewired the deck and put up 2 ceiling fans, and rope lights on the outside railing.. they are sooo straight... Tanner rode the tube for the first time by himself, and Coy got in the water off the boat by himself for the first time :)

Busy Life..
So I do really still exist. Our family has been so busy, and I have been consumed with Facebook, or Crackbook as my husband calls it. We have begun to finish our basement. I AM SO EXCITED. I am going to have a craft room, and then a large family room. We finished a full size bathroom when we built the house, which is quite a relief now.
Tanner made straight A's on his report card :) He has now done something Keith and I certainly never did. I am taking Coy on Friday to visit preschools. He is by NO Means excited. He just wants to stay with Papaw.

When I see a Mud puddle I step around it

When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard. My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away. My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can’t carry a tune and don’t have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen. My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don’t know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that. My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight."
When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross, and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children! Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
I wish you Big Mud Puddles and Sunny Yellow Dandelions!

Out With The Girls

This morning some of the girls and our kids went out for breakfast and then to the park. It went way better than I could have expected, though I am not sure what the waiter at the IHOP thought. There were 12 of us, and 7 of those were kids!!!!! Yes mom I left him a big tip.... All of the kids were better than we could have asked for especially after they waited for everyone (uhhumm..Stephanie..it was 9:30 not 10:00) before we ordered. We then went to the Fletcher Park and the kids played while we chit chatted. It was me and Coy, Stephanie and her little ducklings Austin,Summer, and Sophie, Brenda and her little guy Lucas, Melissa (who got me into the whole bloggong idea...Thanks so much...) and her princess Cloey, and Brendas friend Stephanie whom I met for the first time, and her little girl Corbit(hope I spelled that right.... I love being around little girls....they are so different than my 2.....
